This is a question I get every day! It would be nice if there was a magic shot that would melt away pounds, increase metabolism, and give us lots of energy! But sadly the answer is no. There is no solid evidence that vitamin B-12 in any form will improve weight loss.
There are people with certain types of anemia who may be low in vitamin B-12. These people can benefit from the B-12 injections and usually do experience a boost in energy. Vitamin B-12 can only be absorbed in a shot therefore, oral tablets will not help. A variety of foods contain B vitamins including: meat, fish, and dairy products.
